We have moved our health center inside Albert Cammon Middle School Building A. Come visit our new site!
The Albert Cammon Wellness Center opened in 2010 in St. Rose, Louisiana. Effective for the 2024-25 school year, the wellness center is located inside Albert Cammon Middle School in Building A and services the students of Albert Cammon Middle and St. Rose Elementary School. The health center is part of the Adolescent School Health Program. Students are escorted to the wellness center from their classrooms by either the school nurse or a member of the school-based health center team. To be seen at the clinic, parents must complete a consent and enrollment form and submit it to the wellness center. Consent and enrollment forms are sent home with the students at the start of the school year; however, parents may sign their child up at any time during the year. Digital consent forms may be filled out on the right side of this webpage. Please remember that children who do not have consent forms on file cannot be seen by the clinic.
This year, telemedicine appointments are available for students participating in virtual learning from home or students who are sick and absent from school.
Family Nurse Practitioner Katheryn Celestin provides primary care services for children including well checks, immunizations, sports physicals, acute and diagnostic services. Mrs. Celestin is assisted by Certified Medical Assistant Jasmine Robertson who also serves as our front desk administrator. Licensed Professional Counselor Dr. Sharell Warren offers counseling and support services to students including: stress and anger management, dealing with anxiety, bullying, substance abuse, grief counseling and communication.
Co-pays are waived for all students and faculty/staff enrolled at our wellness center. Commercial insurances including Medicaid and Medicare are accepted. Students who are uninsured can also receive care with a consent and enrollment form on file with the wellness center. Any medications prescribed for your child may be filled through our Access Health Louisiana Pharmacy and home delivery service is free.
Students needing emergency care after school hours, please call 9-1-1. You can also visit our nearby St. Charles Community Health Center located at 16004 River Road in Norco Monday-Thursdays until 4:30 and on Fridays from 8 am-noon. The St. Charles Community Health Center serves as the parish health unit.
