The Albert Cammon Wellness Center opened in 2010 in St. Rose, Louisiana. The wellness center is located on campus and services the students and staff of Albert Cammon Middle and St. Rose Elementary School. Students are escorted to the wellness center from their classrooms by either the school nurse or our Medical Assistant Kim Bailey. To be seen at the clinic, parents must complete a consent and enrollment and submit it to the wellness center. Consent and enrollment forms are sent home with the students at the start of the school year; however, parents may sign their child up at any time during the year. Digital consent formss may be filled out on the right side of this webpage. Please remember that children who do not have consent forms on file cannot be seen by the clinic.
This year, telemedicine appointments are available for students participating in virtual learning from home or students who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
Nurse Practitioner Lauren Ellis provides primary care services for children including well checks, immunizations, sports physicals, acute and diagnostic services. Mrs. Ellis is assisted by Kim Bailey who also serves as our front desk administrator. Licensed Clinical Social Worker Kerry Hymel-Nesbit offers counseling and support services to students including: stress and anger management, dealing with anxiety, bullying, substance abuse, grief counseling and communication.
Co-pays are waived for all students and faculty/staff enrolled at our wellness center. Commercial insurances including Medicaid and Medicare are accepted. Students who are uninsured can also receive care with a consent and enrollment form on file with the wellness center. Any medications prescribed for your child may be filled through our Access Health Louisiana Pharmacy and home delivery service is free.
