Coming Soon in September 2026! A full School-Based Health Center is opening featuring new providers – Pediatrician Dr. Abbey Lewis, Family Nurse Practitioner Michelle Babin, and Licensed Professional Counselor Trione Vincent. Complete your consent form today!

Coming Soon — A new school-based health center is being built inside the Family Center at Luling Elementary School. The medical clinic will offer well child exams, sports physicals, school-related immunizations, as well as sick visits and behavioral health services. Medical providers include Pediatrician Dr. Abbey Lewis and Family Nurse Practitioner Michelle Comboy. The clinic is open Monday through Friday during school hours. Parents can schedule appointments for their child by calling the health center directly or calling the front office of the school and asking to be transferred to the clinic. If your child is sick and cannot attend school, please call the health center and our providers can see your child virtually and send a sick note for missing school.

We are proud to welcome Licensed Professional Counselor Trione Vincent as our behavioral health provider on campus. She offers individual and group therapy with students, including telehealth options, for students dealing with trauma, depression, anxiety, anger management, bullying, study habits, and relationship issues.

To be seen for any school-based health services, parents must complete a consent and enrollment form and submit it to the wellness center.  Consent and enrollment forms are sent home with the students at the start of the school year; however, parents may sign their child up at any time during the year.  Copies of these forms may be found on the right side of this webpage.  Please remember that children who do not have consent forms on file cannot be seen by the clinic.  Telemedicine services are also being offered this school year to assist students taking advantage of virtual learning from home.

Co-pays are waived for all students and faculty/staff enrolled at our wellness center.   Commercial insurances including Medicaid and Medicare are accepted.  Students who are uninsured can also receive care with a consent and enrollment form on file with the wellness center.  Any medications prescribed for your child may be filled through our Access Health Louisiana Pharmacy.  Our pharmacy offers free home delivery.

Students needing emergency care after school hours, please call 9-1-1.  You can also visit our nearby St. Charles Community Health Center located at 843 Milling Avenue in Luling Monday-Thursdays 8am until 4:30 and on Friday and Saturday from 8am-noon.
