WIC is the federal supplemental food and nutrition program that offers healthy food choices to breastfeeding or pregnant moms and children up to five years of age. Parents can apply for WIC right on site, as well as apply for Medicaid coverage (click here to find out if you qualify for Medicaid).
Health coaches are available to help patients battling chronic illnesses including diabetes and hypertension. Services are provided in both English and Spanish.
While most commercial insurances, Medicaid and Medicare are accepted, patients are never turned away for care due to their inability to pay. A discount sliding fee scale is offered based on a patient’s household size and income.
A benefit of being an AHL patient is access to medications through our discount pharmacy program known as 340B. Patients can save money on their medications while getting prescriptions filled at pharmacy locations close to home. The Access Health Louisiana Pharmacy also offers prescription assistance and FREE home delivery of medications.
High standards of care, affordability and convenience are just some of the reasons why the Kenner Community Health Center was recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance as a Patient-Centered Medical Home. Our physicians and staff, many of whom are also bilingual, continually exceed national standards by offering higher quality of care at lower costs. This means a better overall healthcare experience for you our patient.
