Adult Primary Care

Access Health LA Primary CareChoosing the right Primary Care provider for you and your family is an important decision.  You want a person who is not only experienced and well-qualified to treat your ailments, but someone who cares about your overall quality of life. Access Health Louisiana offers patients an expanding Network of Board-certified Physicians and Nurse Practitioners. Our Nationally-recognized providers are available when you need them. With same day appointments offered at most of our locations, you can get access to quality healthcare where you need it, when you need it. And for after-hours emergencies, we have an experienced provider on call for medical advice.

Our mission at Access Health Louisiana is simple: to improve the health of the people we serve. Our Physicians and Nurse Practitioners put this mission into play each and every day by helping patients when they are sick, as well as offering preventative and comprehensive well check exams. They can also assist with family planning needs, women’s health and reproductive health consultations.

Our network of providers offer three types of Primary Care Physicians or PCPs: Internal Medicine Physicians, Family Medicine Physicians or General Pediatricians. Internal Medicine Physicians care for adults 18 years and older, manage and solve complex diagnostic problems, as well as chronic illnesses. Family Medicine Physicians care for patients of all ages. These men and women are trained to not only care for the entire family, but manage your health and wellness. Pediatricians care for infants up to age 18.  They specialize in preventive healthcare for children, as well as those who are chronically ill.

Access Health Louisiana puts patients in control of their healthcare. All patients have access to web-based technology through athenaHealth, Incorporated’s Patient Portal system. Patients can log into our portal and schedule appointments, submit patient information, view lab results and even pay their bill.

This is one of the many reasons why more than 60,000 patients in Southeast Louisiana entrust Access Health Louisiana providers with their healthcare.

Finding a Pediatrician that’s right for your child is also an important decision.  When choosing one, parents must consider three things: proximity to home, quality of care and cost. The average child visits their pediatrician at least three times a year and those visits can increase when a child is sick or injured. Access Health Louisiana offers convenient locations right in your neighborhood. With extensive hours of operation and affordable high quality care, AHL is the smart choice for Pediatric care in Southeast Louisiana.

AHL’s extensive network of board-certified Pediatricians and Nurse Practitioners will give your child the love and care that they deserve. Many of our providers are also bilingual to help make communicating about your child’s healthcare more effective. We offer: sick and well child visits, immunizations, hearing and vision screenings, as well as school and sports physicals.

Many of our providers are moms and dads themselves. They strive to give every patient the same love and attention that they would want for their own child. AHL Pediatricians also know that many children don’t get sick between the hours of 8am-4:30pm. For after hour emergencies, AHL always has a provider on call to offer you free medical advice. Pediatric Care is provided at all main AHL community health centers.
