Behavioral Health - individual & group therapy, telemedicine, including: stress & anger management, anxiety, depression, trauma and relationships

Access Health Louisiana (AHL) offers Behavioral Health services to students at Grace King High School. Grace King is one of ten schools where AHL offers health services in the Jefferson Parish School District. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Bertrille Hookfin sees students on campus. Telemedicine services are also available this year. Her office is located on the second floor of the high school library. She offers individual and group therapy counseling sessions for stress and anger management, trauma, depression, anxiety, bullying or even relationships. Parents can request that their child be seen by Ms. Hookfin by either calling the front office of Grace King High School at (504) 888-7334.
All students must have a current consent and enrollment form on file to be seen at Grace King High for Behavioral Health services. Consent and enrollment forms are sent home at the beginning of the year; however, parents may sign their child up for services at any time during the school year. Forms may also be found on the right hand side of this webpage.
Co-payments are waived for all students and faculty/staff enrolled at our SBHC. Commercial insurances including Medicaid and Medicare are accepted. Students who are uninsured can also receive care with a consent and enrollment form on file with the health center. Any medications prescribed for your child may be filled through the Access Health Louisiana Pharmacy and delivered to your home. We also work with nearby Walgreens and CVS pharmacies and can have most prescriptions filled at a discounted rate.
If you have an emergency outside of school hours, please call 9-1-1.

“Hi, my name is Bertrille Hookfin and I have 18 years of experience as a social worker. For the past 4 years, I have been working for Jefferson Parish Public School System as a Special Education Social Worker. I’ve also worked with the Special Education and 504 student population while employed for the East Baton Rouge Public School System. During my career, I have worked for the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals for over 8 years at the following agencies: Capital Area Human Services Authority, Rosenblum Mental Health Clinic, and Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority. While employed for the state of Louisiana, I served as a clinical social worker for the Child Adolescent Response Team (CART), Access/Crisis Unit, and therapist. I look forward to serving the students of Grace King High School. Services provided will include individual and group therapy.”
