Every August, the National Association of Community Health Centers sponsors National Health Center Week to celebrate and increase awareness of America’s 1,400 Community Health Centers .

National Health Center Week is an opportunity to highlight the commitment and passion of Community Health Center staff, board members, and supporters who make it possible to provide quality, comprehensive healthcare services to more than 30 million patients across 14,500 communities annually.

Our Health Centers celebrated National Health Center’s Week with educational materials for patients on our Services, the AHL Pharmacy, 340B program, MAT program, and Medicaid benefits.

THANK YOU to all of our employees who celebrated National Health Centers Week.

Several of our locations were presented with awards and proclamations for their hard work by some very important people to recognize Access Health Louisiana employees for the hard work they do to take care of our patients.

The South Broad Community Health Center was recognized with a special proclamation from the New Orleans City Council. Operations Director Keith Webster accepted the proclamation on behalf of Access Health Louisiana during one of the City Council’s recent meetings at City Hall.

Representative Malinda White presented a certificate of appreciation to the Access Health Louisiana Washington Community Health Center staff in honor of National Health Center Week. She learned that Access Health Louisiana operates a 340b Pharmacy and that the Washington Community Health Center is a certified Medicaid Application Center.

In St. Bernard, the staff accepted a special proclamation from Parish President Guy McGuinness’s office for their community service.

At our St. Charles Community Health Center in Luling, City Councilwoman LaSandra Darensburg will present a Proclamation of Appreciation to the St. Charles Community Health Center on August 28th at the City Council’s 6pm meeting.

In Slidell, Mayor Greg Cromer will present the St. Tammany Community Health Center team with a Certificate of Appreciation this month for their hard work in caring for the families who call the parish home.
