MEDICARE OPEN ENROLLMENT STARTS OCTOBER 15TH
THE OPEN ENROLLMENT PERIOD FOR MEDICARE THIS YEAR IS OCTOBER 15TH – DECEMBER 7TH
Are you 65 years or older and are thinking of enrolling in supplemental Medicare coverage for the 2022/23 enrollment year? The open enrollment session starts on October 15th, and from then until December 7th you can enroll in supplemental Medicare coverage such as Medicare Advantage Plans (Medicare Part C) and Prescription Drug Coverage plans (Medicare Part D). Once you are over 65 and eligible for Medicare, you will be automatically enrolled in Medicare Part A, which covers inpatient hospital care. However, any additional coverage must be enrolled in during this open enrollment period.
The Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) can help you navigate open enrollment.
