AHL Eye Associates of West Jefferson is now a part of the Access Health Louisiana Network of Federally Qualified Health Centers – the largest FQHC group in the state. We welcome long-time patients of Dr. Joseph Guarnieri, as well as new faces to schedule appointments. When you walk into our optometry office, you will be greeted by a friendly staff managed by Optometric Manager Jackie Fouquet and trained to provide the highest quality vision care services. AHL Eye Associates of West Jefferson offers thorough, detail oriented examinations for patients of all ages. We are a multispecialty practice with board certified Retina specialists, Glaucoma specialists, and Pediatric specialists. We strive to provide the best of ophthalmic eye care, from routine eye exams to complicated diseases of the eye. Our practice is located in the North Tower of the West Jefferson Medical Building located at 1111 Medical Center Boulevard, Suite #213N in Marrero. Our doctors prevent, diagnose and treat several eye conditions. They also care for minor infections to major conditions that require intensive ongoing care. Our vision care team is overseen by longtime optometrist and former state Senator Dr. David Heitmeier. Dr. Heitmeier is a graduate of Holy Cross High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological, Mathematical, and Physical Sciences from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. He completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Louisiana Optometric Association.

These frames look sophisticated and colorful and we have styles for men, women, and kids. Some of the frame designs we have include bright solid colors, rainbow dot patterns, floral designs, cutouts, rhinestones, engraving, color swirls, and much more. Choose any color from metallic to bright colors to black. We offer metal and plastic frames with many frame shapes including small round frames and large square frames.
