Taking a stroll on your lunch break can be very therapeutic on a beautiful day in New Orleans. Mayor LaToya Cantrell encouraged city workers to do just that on March 19th in the Big Easy. Cantrell held another De-Stress Event to encourage people to get outside and relax. The De-Stress Event is held twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall, across from City Hall in Duncan Plaza. Access Health Louisiana’s (AHL) Outreach team is always happy to participate. Other community partners set up informational stations including: Bike Easy, Fit NOLA, New Orleans Recreational Department (NORD), Entergy Smart, Ready Responders, Girl Trek and City Gelato. The SPCA also had some cute furry friends ready to be adopted. Pets are great to have around the house offering comfort and companionship. If you didn’t make it out to today’s event, be sure to check out New Orleans’ next De-Stress Event planned for the fall of 2019.
