Access Health Louisiana’s AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) cordially invites you to sponsor our First Annual Boo=Boo HIV/HCV Conference. The day will consist of a series of four innovative presentations, which incorporate panels, talk show host style conversations, and audience-engaged slide decks. Participants will leave with a better understanding of HIV from a clinical, public health, and societal perspective. The day’s activities will conclude with a happy hour and costume contest, just in time for participants to view the Krewe of Boo parade.
Conference Objectives:
- Provide updates on HIV and HCV from latest conference and research studies;
- Provide information about the USA and Louisiana initiatives which are working to address HIV and HCV, and their relevance to local healthcare providers;
- Provide local data and updates on Test and Treat, U=U, and PrEP and PEP as well as next steps we need to take to continue implementation of these principles; and
- Provide an opportunity for healthcare providers to hear from patients about how empowering it is to live in an age where disease states that were previously considered death sentences, no longer are. This section will focus on the power of all the work that has been done, and the need to keep pushing for even better outcomes.
