5th ANNUAL WASHINGTON PARISH DRUG TAKEBACK EVENT

Access Health Louisiana’s 5th Annual Drug Take Back “Drive By” offered opportunities for community residents to turn in unwanted and outdated medications in Bogalusa on December 3. There was a huge number of Community residents lined up to participate and many turkeys were given away to those that turned in unwanted/outdated medications to the Sheriff Officer on site. 

A lite lunch was given away and a wealth of vital resources including Deterra, Narcan, medication lock bags and many other vital harm reduction resources were offered. Information about Access Health Louisiana’s Medication Assisted Treatment & Counseling Services were also shared.

Access Health Louisiana operates the Washington Community Health Center in Bogalusa. Primary Medical Care and Behavioral Health Care services are offered along with Pharmacy, Health Coach, Medication Assisted Treatment, Psychiatry and Counseling Services.
