Access Health Louisiana (AHL) offers Behavioral Health services to students at Chateau Estates School. Chateau Estates is one of eleven school-based health centers operated by AHL in the Jefferson Parish School District. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Mary Prevost sees students on campus. Telemedicine services are also available this year. Her office is located on the first floor near the school office. She offers individual and group therapy counseling sessions for stress and anger management, trauma, depression, anxiety, bullying, or even relationships. Parents can request that their child be seen by Ms. Prevost by calling the front office of Chateau Estates School at (504) 464-5662 or by calling Ms. Prevost’s office at (504) 303-7018.
Mary Prevost, MSW, LCSW, has been treating children and adolescents in public and private schools as well as psychiatric hospitals in the New Orleans metropolitan area for more than thirty years. She graduated from Tulane University as an undergraduate in psychology and attended Tulane School of Social Work. Ms. Prevost is passionate about helping children and teens cope with challenging emotions, behaviors and life events. She utilizes cognitive behavioral strategies, social skill building, play therapy, art, relaxation techniques, children’s literature, journaling, custom behavior plans and tangible rewards to address identified areas of concern in group and individual treatment. Ms. Prevost is excited to join Access Health of Louisiana and to provide therapeutic services for the students and families of Chateau Estates School.
All students must have a current consent and enrollment form on file to be seen at Chateau Estates School for Behavioral Health services. Consent and enrollment forms are sent home at the beginning of the year; however, parents may sign their child up for services at any time during the school year. Digital consent forms may also be found on the right hand side of this webpage.
Co-payments are waived for all students and faculty/staff enrolled at our SBHC. Commercial insurances including Medicaid and Medicare are accepted. Students who are uninsured can also receive care with a consent and enrollment form on file with the health center. Any medications prescribed for your child may be filled through the Access Health Louisiana Pharmacy and delivered to your home. We also work with nearby Walgreens and CVS pharmacies and can have most prescriptions filled at a discounted rate.
