The state of Louisiana is bracing for a possible hurricane to develop mid-week in the Gulf of Mexico. The tropical disturbance is currently located off the Texas/Mexico coast and is expected to strengthen into a hurricane later in the week. As the storm moves closer, flooding, rainfall, and storm surge will bring strong winds and possible tornadoes. All residents are asked to make storm preparations now including stocking up on water, food supplies, batteries/candles, and prescription medication refills if needed.
