AHL Employees Race for the Cure

Events

Access Health Louisiana (AHL) employees participated in the annual “Race for the Cure” in New Orleans City Park sponsored by the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  Money raised by the Komen Foundation helps to find a cure to end breast cancer.  This year’s race raised an estimated $106,000 for the local Komen Foundation.

AHL is proud to be a grant recipient from the Komen Foundation.  Through funding received, AHL is able to offer free mammogram screenings to uninsured women.  As part of a special incentive, women receiving free mammogram screening vouchers from Access Health Louisiana clinic locations also receive free gas cards to help cover the cost of getting to and from their screening.  AHL physicians want you to know how important it is for every women, 40 years and older, to get screened for breast cancer.  If you have a family history of breast cancer, screenings should start sooner.  Talk to your physician about the best care plan for you!  To find out how to obtain your free voucher, contact AHL at 1-866-530-6111 while supplies last.
