Acadian Care is now part of the Access Health Louisiana (AHL) Network. Acadian Care offers high quality Behavioral Health services from a team of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Nurse Practitioners, Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), therapists and counselors. These experienced providers offer patients extended treatment options for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), autism, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety and a number of other psychological disorders. Telemedicine visits are also available. Acadian Care’s name will not change and patients of Acadian Care will continue to see their same providers. Psychiatrist and founder of Acadian Care, Dr. Richard Kutner, will join the AHL provider team.
Kutner says he made the decision to join with Access Health Louisiana with his patients in mind. “As a psychiatric provider for more than 20 years, I realize the important role that Primary Care plays in helping Behavioral Health patients achieve their goals. I believe that to be strong mentally, it’s important to be strong physically. Access Health Louisiana can help me provide that opportunity for my patients.”
Acadian Care patients will be asked to fill out new paperwork prior to or when they arrive for their next visit. By signing the documents, Acadian Care patients will become a patient of AHL. This means they will be able to visit any AHL community health center location in 12 parishes and take advantage of extended benefits. Those health benefits include: Adult & Pediatric Primary Care services, Dental, Cardiology, Nephrology, Podiatry and more! AHL also operates its own pharmacy and will be able to offer Acadian Care patients prescription assistance programs, discounted medications through the federal 340B program, as well as free home delivery of medications.
AHL locations accept most commercial insurances, Medicaid, Medicare and uninsured patients are welcome. Uninsured patients utilize a sliding fee scale discount based off their household size and income.
Acadian Care locations will continue to use their same phone numbers for scheduling appointments. To make an appointment, call the location nearest you. Click here to learn more about Acadian Care.
