Back-to-school supplies were distributed to children returning to school in Washington Parish this month. Access Health Louisiana joined with community partners in the Bogalusa area for the annual “Krewe of Brothers and Sisters” event on August 13th. More than 550 school supplies were given out including notebooks, folders, pens, pencils, rulers, and other items. Educational information was also given out to families including harm reduction pamphlets and hurricane preparedness cards. Access Health Louisiana also raffled off a $50 gift card and a Recovery is Real awareness shirt. Nearly 200 people from the community participated in the event.
